We all usually hear about how the Wii is killing off gaming with all it's casual games an what not, but in reality it's bringing in a new audience and like the NPD showed Nintendo is bringing in a good healthy market share to the industry.
However I think the real root of all evil in what is bringing video gaming to it's death is
this abomination . If you thought the Spike VGA awards are trash, this is a billion times worse. The World Cyber Games which apparently died spun off into a shitty reality show called WCG ULTIMATE GAMER about finding the best all around video gamer in America. So they are mixing the real world with a gaming competition WONDERFUL and the introduction video looks beyond ridiculous especially when the contestants are crying about how this is too hard.
So fellow D'toiders what's your opinion on this festering mess?

Not cause the winner of this show means anything, or cause its shows games in a positive light, but because it is Real World: Videogame Edition. And I LOVE bad TV.

And seriously, what are the chicks doing there? I'm sure if they take the best 12 gamers from the US, not 1 of them would be a chick... I mean there's MILLIONS of gamers there, I'm sure there's women that are good at gaming, but there's just so many more guys that are playing that I'm pretty sure not a single woman would be in the top 12 list :p
And they say "best gamer in the world" but have all American gamers lol... You know if they put some Japanese gamers in the mix, we'd ll be owned.
