...Well that Is to say, I'm buying a new PC. Next month I start University, and doing a course like, ooh, Computer Games Art and Design I will need one kickass PC to last me the next 2 years untill my 3rd year work placement!
Just to get it out the way, I am doing the most kickass course you will ever find. I am studying my hobby for 4 years. I mean, In 6 years time, the big robot could be interviewing ME. well probably not, but I am determined to get into the industry. But thats another story, heres whats I gets:

Valve has released a new video detailing the thought processes behind the brilliant graphical style of team fortress 2.

Its interesting stuff, especially If you've been salivating over every tidbit about this game as much as I have. It gets a little technical termed near the end, but the effects are still clear. any prostective modelers/animators know what a phong is?

I spent some time messing about in photoshop and I've come up with a rough pimpage that Im happy with. this was mainly a test, to see what I could stick where and have it not look out of place at all. Ill stick some pimping advice at the bottom of this.

So yeah Im just gonna go out and say I'm the first person to try and style their blog like it was anything that had CSS control. I have no idea it its true, Im sure someone thought of it too. but I wanna see more creative shopping of teh bloggings!

and now teh tips.

side bar is 350px big, but it has some padding at the edges, hav'nt bothered working out what yet, but it stretches fine for 350px images. Id reccomend a header thingy, a break thingy, and maybe a footer one that I dont have atm.

forgot how wide the post area is, but take a print screen and draw a selection around the dotted line at the bottom of a post to get the width. stick an image at the end of your posts and you have a lil footer!

I also tried a post header with an arrow pointing up at the comments link saying 'comments plz!' but it dosent sit flush with the post title, theres a big gap.

Moar pimped blogs ppl!

So I was down in London the other day (With a gurl!!) and on passing the GAME store on Oxford Street, I was about to cross the road away when I saw something inside..

It had a drill, a divers suit and a 'do not touch' sign.

Whilst not standing at full 100% scale, the probably 80-90% scale model of Big Daddy was pretty impressive, and very cool. A quick 'wow' and a peek around the ankles revealed no little sister present. Shame, Ill have to get my Adam elsewhere...


Unfortunatly I took pictures with my dates camera... who is not happy with me atm... and so getting said pictures back might prove a challange.

I love the D'Toid. its full of so much epic win that is just keeps on expanding. Community blogs a pretty sweet expansion at that. So why not jump on the bandwagon? That was retorical, shut it.

I guess now I have to post regular comment, maybe settle on a theme for this blog.
