Since everyone's doing it (and that's always a good thing), here are some opinions in list form!
Things I Want
5) Playstation Home
as it was originally conceived. I want to stream music and movies to my snazzy, customized, and super sweet luxury apartment, invite friends over in-game to watch some movie on my big screen TV over the fireplace while chatting it up. When the movie's over, we could go to my trophy room where I could show off my physical representations of my accomplishments replete with gargantuan statues for any platinum trophies I had earned.
4)More High Quality Xbox Indie Games. There are some gems on XBIG, I think I just want Arkedo to release a new game every week is all.
3)The Ability to Play Mini-Games Online With Friends. Going back to point 1, I enjoy simple games like billiards and bowling, I hate waiting in queues, especially if they're virtual ones to begin with. This point is more aimed towards Rockstar, though. Games like Grand Theft Auto IV and Red Dead Redemption are loaded with immersive activities and virtual friends with which to engage in these events. The trouble comes when you go online with
actual friends, enter a bowling alley and are unable to have the same fun with them that you had with some AI 'friend'. I want to play poker or horseshoes with my friends list, make it happen.
2)Shenmue 3. Wishful thinking, nothing else.
1)Skies of Arcadia 2 on PS3. Once again wishful thinking, but seeing Vyse and Aika in Valkyria Chronicles made me crave it all the more.

5) It was all just a dream! (
Arkedo Series 03 - Pixel! The intro to the game explicitly states it is a dream, the wacky hijinks that ensue are a drowsy cat's machinations.)
4) Some poor kid dreams about one day flying the skies. (
Skies of Arcadia It helps when your dad is a sky pirate)
3) Just a normal kid who has latent powers that awaken. (
Shin Megami Tensei: Nocturne)
2) The Ancient Prophecy. (
Grandia 2 Historians get it wrong sometimes)
1) Amnesia! (
Steambot Chronicles While many games use this trope to obfuscate the main character's past in order to reveal things at key moments, Steambot takes this cliche and turns it on its head. Who you say you are is who you are, and who's going to doubt if you say you're the son of an evil professor?)
Moments in Gaming Where You Feel Unstoppable

PS - Lists are the fucking bomb. I'm so glad I invented them.
Man! I was doing list before it was even cool!
IF GAMES ARE ART THEN LIST BLOGS ARE THEIR GALLERIES! SHOW THEM RESPECT!
Also, list blog is goooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooood.
I just love the battle mechanics and setting my troops up. Completing the game is just ancillary.
obligatory starman mention. Also the Golden Gun.
Want.
