I'm a 23 year old Linguist, and have been gaming most my life. I have nostalgia-goggles for sega genesis and games like sunset riders, gargoyles, and earthworm jim. good times.

right now I'm hooked on tf2 and COD4- although that will all be replaced once modern warfare 2 comes out. aside from MW2 the things I'm most looking forward to are LFD2, the free mechwarrior 4, and the rarely talked about max payne 3.

MW2 update breaks matchmaking

Yesterday, IW released a minor patch that was supposed to improve matchmaking, but today it seems as though the patch has achieved just the opposite. For many (myself included) the public playlists now display 0/0 players across the board. Of the games i've been able to track down there seems to only be teams of 2 or 3. lame. hopefully a quick fix will be introduced. Now its off to play some left 4 dead 2 demo.

I've also heard that the PC version has started attempting to connect to Xbox Live.

The matchmaking system hasn't worked at all for the PS3 system (though there are terrible workarounds)... maybe in trying to fix the PS3 system, they broke the Xbox system (though why mess with something when it works).

Eh... they sure aren't having much luck on the multiplayer portion of the game thus far - too many problems (they should have in-house tested it a little better).
