Releasing a classic mega man makes perfect sense. People liked the original Megaman games most it seems so Capcom have made a game that is exactly the same as one of the original Megaman thereby giving the fans of the originals exactly what they want. It is rare that you see a big publisher making such a huge change just to please its fans (and obviously make money) and I for one think its great. This game could set the trend for many good things, for example a new 2D Metroid game. If a game is good it doesnt really matter if its in 8 bit graphics or HD.
Also saying people are stupid for being excited about the new Bionic Commando simply because of the name is retarded. People that played the original Bionic Commando and loved it will obviously be glad to see it revived. The same happens whenever a sequel is made for almost anything. People will get excited simply because of what the name means. Sure it might suck balls completely but that doesnt mean that people shouldnt get excited about a franchise they like.
Also I know this is more than likely a troll and I shouldnt be feeding it but I just cant help myself sometimes.
i understand where your frustration is coming from. when i heard MM9 was coming out to networks, i was really stoked...i thought it would be in the same vein as those psp mega man remakes: 3d but kept at a traditional side-scrolling view. i was really dissapointed when i saw the intentional return to 8-bit. mega man THAT old is something i don't really miss. i was more down with the MMX nostalgia...and now with the glitches you can toggle on and off...ridiculous

Well if it was the exact same batman that was released back then and said to be new, then yes I would be loathe to be hyped for that batman. I don't have much say in this whole megaman thing though. I never really was into any of them and so this new one does nothing for me.
