Wow, memorable moments in EO.... There are so many! I guess the biggest, though, would be defeating the Golem FOE in the secret area in the first stratum. The first time I ran into him, I ended up running, because I knew my party wasn't near good enough. After that, I trained a specific team for the time I'd finally beat him. If I remember correctly, my party included a Protector, Survivalist, Medic, Alchemist, and Ronin, but I may have had a Dark Hunter in place of the Survivalist or Ronin. I know I tried several variations before striking gold.... At any rate, after level grinding for a long time, it was time for a serious rematch. I don't remember how long the battle lasted, but I'm sure I had to resurrect several characters. The Golem, on top of having awesome defensive characteristics and loads of HP, wasn't a bad offensive enemy either. I finally beat him, though, and boy was it great! I got the item drop eventually, though I don't know if it was from the first battle or not. Either way, the first time was the best. It took me back to the old-school RPGs that made you sweat with every major battle, usually bosses. Nostalgia sure feels great!
