Coming off of Lauren's well thought out article of the shortcomings and overall boredom induced from Mario nowadays, I found this Video on TechEBlog, showcasing an interesting Doom mod of someone who recreated the Original Super Mario Bros. in the Doom engine.
Also, for the record, I never liked Super Mario Bros. Say what you will, but ever since I first played the game at 4 years old, I thought the game sucked. Its not the graphics at all either, I just hated that game. It wasn't fun to me, it was far too fucking difficult, and there was really nothing in it for me. I always just see the game now as a gateway for the mainstream to claim their status as gamers because they've played or seen a joke on TV about SMB. Fuck that. Oh yeah, video!
