Welcome to electro lemon's quick guide: tips and tricks for the community blogs. Although not exactly a series, it does allow me to show some things that I've noticed on the blogs that other people might not have necessarily figured out yet, even if they are simple as Jack Thompson's mind.

Viewing Full Sized Images

A while back, Niero and Lackner updated the blogs with a few things. One of the things that I've just noticed is that there's now no image gallery at the bottom at the post when you upload multiple images. If an image were squished in a post and you wanted to see the full image, it'd be hard to do so. However, there is an easy workaround for this.

1. Take the image source url of the 550x scaled image and put it back into the bar.


2. Replace the end part of '550x' with 'noscale'


Adding Tags to Community Blog Posts

While this feature doesn't necessarily do anything, it is a little easter egg that seems to be left behind from the community blogs beta 0.1, when tags were somewhat functional.

1. Click on the 'Embed YouTubes' button above the post content.


2. Click on the link in the top area of your post content that says "Tags"


3. Choose tags! [Although they don't mean anything at this point.]


And here's the biggest one, since somehow, people don't understand how easy this is.
How to use HTML in the Community Blogs

Surprisingly, this is one of the easiest things to do.
1. Click on the Embed YouTubes button.


2. Put you junk [html] in that box!

3. Take the embed code it gives you, and put that into the content of your post.

This is how blink tags, centering, marquees, and other annoying 90s website tages are done in BBCode-based posts. For example, the RonRoll from a month back, or the little music box at the bottom of the post. Even WiiSucks figured it out a while ago!
