Destructoid is an open discussion community. You don't need to "audition" to post a comment - just speak your mind. We respect differing opinions on the site, so have at it. Be smart, funny, insightful, clueless, or cute -- but back it up with substance. Keep your cool, keep it fun. We only ask that you act respectfully and above all: don't be a troll and ruin it for everyone else. Don't bring down gamers or we'll, you know, gently shoot you in the face and stuff you into a flaming mailbox. Each comment is your opportuntity to make this community awesomer. Is that even a word?
Avoiding the banhammer only requires common sense: spamming, trolling, racism, NSFW stuff, and other forms of sucking will not be tolerated. If anyone is griefing please report abuse. Be good. Don't suck!
Although I do think it's stupid that Christianity as a whole has forced its way into every aspect of our lives, basically dictating out every decision and aspect of life. I do think it is stupid to generalize the entire community. Lots of good people are level headed Christians and overall good people. Then there is another part of them that are just morons. They are the reason for Racisim, bigotry, and overall persecution of anyone who differs in opinion from them.
Yeah, I too am a Christian, but am of the hippy variety. Loving, Forgiving and Excepting but not the "get you're act strait or get out" variety.
I think a lot of people have just had bad experiences with Christians, like alter boy's or guy's who's father abandoned them etc.
It's gotten even more so recently too. I don't really want to see blood and gore. Makes me uncomfortable.
Of course, I don't want make decisions for other people. Violence, abortion, sexuality; I've made my decisions for my life, not other people's lives.

Yes, there has been horrible violence in the history of Christianity. But also in every other religion, (and non religion, as some of the worst crimes against humanity were committed by people who professed no religion) as well. Even pacifist Buddhists have responded in violence. I think you're smart enough to know this, but I just wanted to say it, too.
God loves you no matter what you do, but disobey "his" rules and you will burn forever in eternal hellfire. Give up your personal wants and needs because they do no matter to us, I mean, they do not matter to God. Give us money and repent my brothers. Amen.
And Im a Usher at my Church
I Play Violent Games all the Time (even at Bible Study)
I realize other religions are just as violent. However, it seems that Christianity is never put on the chopping block for it. (with the exception of the soldiers funeral protests) When a group of 'Christians' stand outside of a gay right convention and protest, or demoralize women as they go in and out of abortion clinics across the nation. Those are acts of hatred which are condemned in the bible.
I was raised in the pentecostal church. I'm no stranger to how extreme some Christians are. If someone isn't a christian, don't associate with them. You will go to hell for it. If you smoke cigs, your going to hell. If you say a bad word, your going to hell. If you think a woman is looking hot, you are going to hell. Some are soo extreme they feel that if a woman cuts her hair, or a man has long hair, thats living in sin, also that women should only wear dresses and men should only wear pants. Men in Shorts and Women in pants are a no no.
