MGS VR Missions Remake (Help!)
e-roder | 11:44 AM on 06.26.2009 10 comments

I'm recreating the Virtual Reality Missions from Metal Gear Solid (you can read up on my progress here). I'm working alone, tweaking the Source code and creating the maps. The hardest part for me is actually playing through the VR Missions and recording the map information.

This is where you guys come in: I need someone(s) to play through the game and tell me map measurements, enemy placements, and patrol routes. If you need a copy of the VR Missions, I can help you find one.

Help me out here guys!

Wow, that's impressive. If I knew how to take map measurements and stuff like that, I'd help.

I also suggest to check the forums. People there would probably jump at this.

You gunna make it like in VR missions that you unlock gun mode last?

Also, needs a Socom and the proper textures.

For measurements I just was hoping for people to count the number of tiles. I also need the location and size of walls.

I want to make the maps before I worry too much about how I'm going to put things together. The textures I'm using right now are borrowed from FPS Banana. If you have any recommendations for some good ones I'd love to see them.

I think this could be really successful :)

So would the tester need to own a copy of the Source engine, Half Life or CS? Or is it a separate executable altogether?

I might be able help you :)
