Trent loves you all and wants to prove it to you the only way the man can. By screwing over the record executives AGAIN. God I love NIN. I hope more and more big artists get the message with Trent's efforts and see that despite the absence of their safety net of the record management company that artists CAN make a living

Why the hell not?
Cool find though... Very cool.
Trent really does have his finger on the way records should be distributed.
I don't even like his music but I'm downloading it anyway because the statistics add up. And because it's Creative Commons licensed.
I like how this new music industry is going.
As I understand it, that wasn't exactly the same. That album was more similar to Radiohead's experiment. I believe Trent was offering it for free, but also giving the option to pay $5 or more for it. This album, on the other hand, is simply referred to as being totally free, nothing requested in return. So this one is actually "more free" than the previous one.
Only Ghost I was free. Ghosts II-IV was sold for a nominal fee from NIN themselves, with separate options to spend more money for better editions. This is essetially his thanks.
