Meh... it it's just an expansion I may well skip it. Would be great if they added co-op to the game though...
I just hope it has a working flashlight. I strain my eyes way too much in dark areas.
And I second the call for co-op.

I will buy this in the second it is released. I'm a Fallout fanboy afterall.
And i disapprove co-op in RPGs, it just doesn't work.

I don't think that co-op is necessary. I like the feeling of being alone in Fallout games and if I ever get too lonely there are always colorful companions to choose from. Companions who won't leave midgame or throw a grenade at your feet for the lulz.
As to the gameplay video, was hoping that IGN would have shown more. I wonder if this is the exact video that they have been given to show to us or if they took snippets out of a larger video and are gonna post this hypothetical larger video on some kind of exclusive shenanigans.

I loved Fallout 3. I covered every square inch of that damn game.
That said, I want a new engine, a new conversation system and characters that don't look like they are statues. There have been far too many standards set by other more polished games for anybody to look at this and think it's anything special. It's an open world game with a cool story, well designed characters and a great setting. It just all falls flat when characters try to emit emotion, or you want a mission that doesn't involve shooting everything in sight.
One thing that really irritated me about the game was that you couldn't stealth, even with sneaking and agility all maxed out enemies can still somehow see you through the back of their skulls.
Anyway...
I'll get it, and enjoy it most likely, but they better be working on a completely new engine for their next game.

Can't wait. You ever notice how in initial gameplay videos like this one, the player gets way too close to enemies? I guess to show off how they look.
