About
I'm a mid-twenties, indiscriminate gamer who runs a geek website with my girlfriend, Nicole. You can check it out at http://www.geekspodcast.com if you'd like, but I admit we've grown a bit lazy and haven't actually, you know, podcasted in a while! Regardless, I'm a down to earth kind of guy who enjoys a variety of games, though I have a special place in my heart for Silent Hill 2, just like Nicole does. Right now I'm recovering from the midnight launch for Modern Warfare 2 and waiting to get off work so I can work on the site, play some MW2/Borderlands, and possibly research amateur taxidermy on my collection of cellar rats. Just kidding- I don't have Borderlands ;)

I haven't gotten all of the achievements yet, but I did 'complete' the game in that I put a righteous hurtin' on the final boss. Speaking of which, while I find the game to be totally rad I was disappointed in the ending. It just kind of came off as weak sauce. I'm glad this IP was successful enough that they're looking into a sequel and all, but I wish this one would've been a bit less cliff-hanger-y. Just the same, I'll still keep fighting to level 50 for the sheer enjoyment of finding more phat lootz and I'm still not finished with The Zombie Island of Dr. Ned yet. Although, I do think it would've been more fitting to release that DLC around Halloween given the aesthetics and all. How many of you beat Borderlands and what do you think they could have improved?

My husband and I are very slowly making the way through the game in co-op.... and we're having a ton of fun (in between fighting over who should get which gun! LOL!).

yeah, I do hope they make a sequel... but with a stronger story line.
I got all achievements outside from a few for zombie island which I haven't completed yet. My Siren is a level 50 and my others are climbing to her heights as well. Borderlands is great fun.
Borderlands is a damn good game. I've beaten it 6 times now but I still want to go back. Loot, loot, loot! Every time you're on Pandora you want to open every chest you find (And Skagpile and toilet and locker and container). You'll never know what's inside. But the game truly gets amazing after you've beaten it once. Or no, I have to say the game has two awesome (turning)points. One is when you beat the game and go for your second playthrough. And the second is when you've beaten it for the second time with the same character. EVERYTHING LEVEL 50. So awesome. I can't get enough of it.
to me borderlands ns a fun game in single player but coop just blows me with awsomeness
@Elsa I was pretty slow going through it too. Nicole was SUPPOSED to stay the same level as me to go through it, but that rarely ever works and she just kept going without me :p

@Takeshi I didn't even know there was more story after completing it a second time! I will now go through it again!
Yeah second playthrough is the shit. I love this game.
Love this game. Got all the achievements.
Haven't really been doing a single player playthrough at all, but I have 3 coop plays going all at once. Around halfway through I think... serious fun thus far.
For maximum enjoyment do your best to bypass sidequests in playthrough 2. They're much more fun once everything gets leveled up to 48-51 once you beat the game the second time and gives you more to do than just run around shooting shit and looking for guns once you hit 50.

Also, don't forget about Sledge's Shotgun. There's a lot of emergent gameplay there if you use it in a duel. Scoring goals on the arch over The Vault entrance is pretty damned entertaining.
