Is anybody else dissatisfied with this thing? At first, I was fine with the it, but as I got my Wii and PS3, I've become more and more apathetic towards the machine. I mean, for all the bad press that the PS3 has gotten, at least the launch models (for NA and J at least) has full backward compatibility. Yeah, I know, it has the actual PS2 hardware in there, but at least I can disconnect my PS2 and not have to worry about digging the thing out to play all of my old PS2 titles. Additionally, the Wii is just a OC'd GameCube; it's not a knock against the system since the GC could produce some beautiful games. The reason that I'm asking is because I have this copy of BG&E for Xbox, but it's not on the 360 BC list and probably will never be on that list despite the fact that POP:SOT is on the list and runs on a modified version of the JADE engine from BG&E. Then I figured, well, I have a computer, I'll just get the PC version. So I download a demo and the thing doesn't even run properly on my system despite/in spite of/due to the fact that my current rig more than fits the hardware requirements for the game. Frustrating, but I ended up finding a brand new copy of the game for PS2 for under $10 so, it's not a total loss.
You cant insult the 360 on a site full of hardcore gamers. The 360 is THE system for gamers. Xbox live in revolutionary. Ps3 is a disapointing suck fest. The wii is cool but with Nintendo claiming it's aimed at kids and grandmaws it's takes a lot of the "hardcore" ness out of the system.
I was hardly insulting the 360, I was merely stating the facts of the matter; however, your statements are spoken like a true Xbot. I'm well aware of the current state of this generation and it's not like I was just born yesterday. Traditionally, every PlayStation platform has been a disappointing suckfest, for the first two years after launch.
i'm pissed at all 3 companies for their next-gen offerings - MS and their shoddy hardware and poor backwards compatibility, Sony and their poor decisions, poor marketing and lack of games, and Nintendo for making a "casual entertainment" system and not a gaming system.
for the record, i own a 360 (which broke after only 6 months of owning it) and i just got a PS3. i'm currently playing PS2 games on my PS3 the most because there's no PS3 games i want to own yet and i'm half-afraid to play my 360 too much, lest it break again.

And for the record, I have a 360 and I'm on my second machine and third HDD, a Wii that's been getting a considerable amount of playtime from my non-gamer wife, and a PS3 which is a damn good Blu-Ray player and makes for a pretty good PS2.
i think this site has the fewest fanboys (of any console) that i've found out there. that said, there is a bit more love here for the 360 and the Wii than i think those consoles deserve (especially the Wii) and maybe a *bit* more hate for the PS3 than maybe it deserves, but whatever. still not too bad.

you're calling Neonie an Xbot just because he likes the 360? Or is it because he points out valid reasons why it's the system for gamer's and the reason why you're getting negative feedback? I too have own a wii, but don't play it anymore because of how gimmicky and lame all the games are. Everything is swing your arms and do backflips just to make your guy move. Sure it was cool at first but the fun wears off and it becomes time to sit down and enjoy a game. Wake me up when SSBB comes out so I can use my GC controller on a good game.
That's great that you seem to be stuck in last-gen. Why are you still buying PS2 and original XBox games? Oh, because there's nothing to play on the PS3 or the Wii.
Calling people Xbots? C'mon now. Sure we're MS fanboys because even with their system failures they are still the best gaming system out there. They have the best selection, the best multiplayer, pretty much every game made for multiple platforms lloks better on the 360 (Madden anyone?)... Even for backwards compatibility, every game I own for the original XBox is now backwards compatible (KOTOR, JE, Halo{2}, SC:CT, DOA3). Hell, even if you're one of the ten thousand people in the world who owns a copy of Marvel vs Capcom 2 you can play it.
My Wii is just sitting there waiting for SSBB. My PS3... Wait, I don't have one, there's nothing worthwhile on the system as of yet. I was excited for Lair and thought I wuld purchase the system with the release of that game but no. Uncharted is one of the only games that I am looking forward to on the system and I'm even going to wait to get that until God of War 3 comes out.

Actually, done with all my current gen games, cleaning up all the stragglers from last gen because there's nothing currently out for the any of the current gen systems that I want to play ATM. See, I don't have to pick and choose sides because I have all three of the current gen systems.

Currently have all all major home consoles since the 5th generation (i.e. PSX, SAT, N64) and have been gaming since the release of NES back in '86. I've always been fairly platform agnostic, but I'm becoming increasingly more apathetic towards Microsoft's console as the days go by. I'm surprised by how well the Wii has been performing and I'm waiting for the PS3 to gain more momentum.
