Week's End RECAP!
dontstaylong | 1:35 PM on 11.02.2007 2 comments

in case you weren't already aware, youtube is still incredible.

So, in other news:

- Maybe the PS3 isn't going to die a slow painful death after all? - honestly, this doesn't surprise me. if you ignore the price, the lack of games, and the entire corporate ethos, the ps3 actually sounds like a pretty great deal. i mean, it's got blue-ray! (though folding@home is way cool)

- Manhunt 2 came out - and so far the reviews are so-so. shocker: the sequal to a meh-tastic game is still meh-tastic, just with lots of annoying effects so you can't see it? amazing. it really was the talk of the town, what with dr. phil and katie couric weighing in on the game, and it was already hacked to show the unedited version.

- Second Life pedophilia - call me ignorant, but i really fail to "get" secondlife. could someone explain the attraction?

- Nintendo talks non-game DS stuff - barring the DS TV, i do think the DS has a ton of non-game potential. i'd love a version of the NYC subway map (or better yet, a city-centric Google Maps) on my DS. on the other hand....

- TV Guide... for the Wii? - maybe nintendo should avoid non-game content. so... am i supposed to switch back and forth between my tv and wii.. instead of using the menu my cable provider already gives me? hm.

- Bioware + LucasArts = Love.- while they didn't actually specify... well... anything, this has me excited. though i will say i'm not going to be completely happy until lucasarts releases every mid-90s adventure game they did in one set. in that case, i'm okay in the fact that i'll probably never be completely happy.

- Super Mario Galaxy is released in Japan - and nobody seems to care? i haven't gotten my hands on a demo unit yet, but i know on release day, i'll be found in the corner of my room, visibly shaking because i'm under strict orders not to buy it due to how close it is to christmas.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

So what'd everybody dress up as for Halloween? I was a sunday school teacher. Though I really want this hat.

And lastly, Whiskerino has begun.

Destructoid is an open discussion community. You don't need to "audition" to post a comment - just speak your mind. We respect differing opinions on the site, so have at it. Be smart, funny, insightful, clueless, or cute -- but back it up with substance. Keep your cool, keep it fun. We only ask that you act respectfully and above all: don't be a troll and ruin it for everyone else. Don't bring down gamers or we'll, you know, gently shoot you in the face and stuff you into a flaming mailbox. Each comment is your opportuntity to make this community awesomer. Is that even a word?

Avoiding the banhammer only requires common sense: spamming, trolling, racism, NSFW stuff, and other forms of sucking will not be tolerated. If anyone is griefing please report abuse. Be good. Don't suck!
