Japan's kinda a different world though. People use a lot more public transportation, so having a portable television to watch on the train may be a lot more appealing to them. It's the kind of thing that would never take off in the states though, Sega & NEC already tried and failed.
A tv on the DS haha!
I love how people are yelling for more DS/Wii interaction. Think of the great GBA/GC connectivity (read: shit) we received in the previous generation - now who really wants to see that again? I don't doubt the potential, but I do doubt the execution. You should too.
Yeah but don't you want demos via your wii for your DS? The GC wasn't online and the GBA had a paltry 128KB of ram also they needed cables to connect so they wern't exactly the best devices to link up.
@ flabzilla:
Downloadable DS Demos would indeed be nice!
I was referring more to multiplayer games that required connectivity to be fun.
Pac-Man Vs. was pure win though... they need to make that a WiiWare title with DS connectivity.
Pac-Man Vs. was pretty good, but I never had enough people over who actually wanted to play it. And they should have made it Ms. Pac-Man Vs.
Exactly. i'm talking more about downloadable DS titles, being able to play VC content on the DS... good god, the thought of having Contra 3 with me at all times is almost too much to bare.
At least until Contra 4 is out, and then I'll have to deal with weird looks on the subway when I start cursing uncontrollably.
Also, my understanding is that Japanese TV doesn't typically have reruns, so if you miss something you have to wait until a special, or buy the episodes on DVD. A portable TV thing is helpful for those who 'absolutely have to see it less miss it forever,' etc etc.
Again, just my understanding.
