I am twenty six years old, and I'm OBSESSED with soda (Coke), Poptarts (Strawberry), and video games. I live a pretty boring life at the moment, take up most of my time playing games and waiting for the new edition to the family... My wife and I are expecting our first child in July, and I couldn't be happier. I am really into all forms of music, but mainly black metal, death metal, and some grindcore.
Born and raised in California, I also like some old west coast punk rock.
In this blog I plan to cover all kinds of things, movie reviews, game reviews... as well as venting, ranting and my thoughts on everything.
If you don't like what I have to say, move on.
From time to time, when I have the goods(heh), I plan on giving away some free stuff, could be anything from a used console to a dvd.
All in all, I just love DTOID and all it has to offer.

Interesting video...

This highlights some of the things people have been wondering about, such as how the themes will work, how you look up the achievements etc.

Overall when I first saw this dashboard when it was just being talked about... I really wasn't that thrilled about it but the more I see the more I like it. Another thing that I thought was a huge improvement was the new in game guide, just watch the video and you will see what I mean. That said, I do not like the idea of the Avatars. I know, I know... a lot of you actually do, but as he says in the video - "A lot of people see this a Mii rip off" I have to agree... I dont want my dashboard looking like an 8yr olds dvd chapter selection.

Other than that I like the new additions and think over all it will be useful and something nice and new to play around with. Also might be better for the new people getting 360, as I happen to think the current 360 dashboard is a bit cluttered and clunky to navigate.

Notes on the video quality... it was asked not to be filmed, but some sneaky ninja decided to do so anyways.

I like the idea of having a cleaner looking UI for the dashboard, but I'm not too keen on the way the different sections are displayed as cascading panels. Visual stuff like that was the first thing I disabled when I installed Vista.

The thing I'd like to see most is better organisation and filtering of marketplace stuff and your arcade games etc. That'd be the biggest improvement for me.

I agree. After not owning a 360 for so long and just getting a new one... I was surprised to see how cluttered things have got.

I am pretty sure they are trying to eliminate that with this update.

I do have to though... Apple TV much?
