Bioshock allegedly coming to PS3

I just wanna add that I don't want this to be considered a war enticing post. I don't care for fanboyism, and if I seem a bit ignorant on Xbox 360 games it's because I don't own one.

When I heard this rumor on Kotaku and IGN i started wondering what it meant in the console wars context. Does it make the PS3 gain some edge over the 360 considering its strong lineup for this year? Does it mean that the PS3 is now to be considered a not so shitty console cuz it's getting a game considered and GOTY by many experts. Does it even mean anything at all? Does the 360 really needed to keep it as an exlcusive or did the PS3 really need to snatch away from Microsoft?

I decided to make a list (with your help) of great games for both the PS3 and 360, both released and unrealesed (taking in account hyped and promising games). What for? To see who's winning the war and if Bioshock's alleged port to the PS3 means anything.

Conclusion

Both consoles have really strong titles as of now and great ones coming up. The PS3 is finally looking strong because of a nice lineup this year, but it's still to be determined whether the unreleased games I put in there will be superb or letdowns (heavenly sword, lair). I dare to say that if my perception is good and the PS3 exclusives I put in there end up being any good, by this year's end, we might have nearly as many AAA titles on the PS3 as on the 360. Now THEN would a real console war begin.

Sure, but it'll be featured in EGM this month. Read it in IGN, 2K respresentatives didn't dismiss the rumor this time.

NO. NO. NO. NO. NO. NOT GOING TO HAPPEN. Has been smashed multiple fucking times, and Ken Levine has said "If Bioshock ever goes to the PS3, I will suck another man off."

I'm pretty sure Ron is right here. I've read before that it's a 360 exclusive, and not a timed exclusive. Like a permanent exclusive.

I think that it wouldnt matter coming out on the ps3 this late in the game unless it had like more story or something...
there isn't enough pull of enough people it hasnt reached...

furthermore I own both a 360 and a ps3 and I have to say your lists are alright although my 360 preferred list would be considerably different as I hate most traditional games...

if you ever do pick up a 360 some nice niche games I'd recommend...

Back on topic, I think it the PS3 already has edge over 360, but thats just me. The 360 is a horrible death trap... waiting to self destruct. Kind of like that little box thing on hellraiser, thats what the 360 is.

Hmm I'd have to go with that rumour is wrong, but maybe if 2k got bought out by EA and maybe if it was Bioshock too, just maybe.

@Ron: I know you have a lot of inside info that we don't, saying that not rereleasing a game because it "ran its course" would be considered bad business is kinda odd. That laughs in the face of Square Enix and Capcom's complete ideologies. Look at the FF and RE series. How many times have they been rereleased to critical successs? Just saying.

Also, BioShock was kinda overrated. I loved it when I played it, but in hindsight it really left me down. There were no real consequences in the entire game. Everything was going to happen no matter what you did. I didn't like that fact for a game that claimed you had such an impact on the environment, ya know?

You need to add Fable 2 and Fallout 3 to the list if you haven't... I may have missed them but Fable 2 is one 360 game that I am greatly looking forward to!
