About Me

I've been a gaming enthusiast since the wee age of 5. I was a big fan of the platformers, but I also enjoyed educational games like "Mario Teaches Typing" because they would help solidify my defense of the notion that video games can be effective learning tools. Admittedly, the only reason I cared to make such an argument was to weaken the tyranny of my parents' rule and ensure more time with video games. Since then my tastes have expanded, and I've become a fan of sundry genres of gaming. My favorites are: action-rpgs, survival horror, platformers [still], action-adventure, and niche titles such as Loco Roco and Me and My Katamari. My favorite system of all time is the Dreamcast thanks to the fond nostalgia I have of it, and gem titles like Sonic Adventure 1 and 2, Power Stone 1 and 2, Typing of the Dead, Jet Grind Radio, and secretly Sonic Shuffle.

I have several systems: NES, SNES, Sega Genesis, Sega CD, Sega Dreamcast, Sega Game Gear, Nintendo DS, Nintendo 64, Nintendo Wii, PSP, and the Playstation 3. I want a 360 but I'm saving that for when I'm not poor and I don't have so much clutter.

My favorite games of all time are the Kingdom Hearts series, and that can be blamed on my love of all things old-school Disney. New Disney somewhat, but nowhere near as much. They've lost the magic.
