Well Jim might've not had his best review of the Kinect, because sometimes it's hard to write about things that a) you're not necessarily sure the future of the product will be groundbreaking b) not given alot of details about how it will be used.
No offense, but the Microsoft Kinect didn't necessarily have the best presentation for it's new product. Everything lies in the presentation, and form a multi-billion dollar company, I was expecting a bit more. And if you're not liking Jim's reviews, maybe just don't read it?
I think DToid's doing a fine job, and haven't noticed this downward spiral.

I've been with this site for a long time now. I've seen anti-sterling people come and go. It usually happens when sterling happens to have a different opinion about a particular game or system than the hater likes. They're usually fine with him making fun of something they dont give a shit about, but the moment his comedy bleeds into something they take seriously they go all batshit.
The truth is that Sterling is a part of the structure that makes destructoid so great, along with all the other colorful contributors. They are site that lets people speak from their own opinion. In that moment, in the video you mention, that was the reality that sterling was experiencing. Most importantly it was much more interesting than reading yet another straight-faced corporate view of what happened.
Sometimes when people have opinions, they step on a few toes. I suggest you either grow a thicker skin and not get visibly angry over something that was no more that a joke about a press conference OR find another website because obviously this place goes way over your head.
