About dTunes:
dTunes originally started as a blog in which I would showcase a new band every week. Soon, I moved on to themes. Every video was meant to be suggested by the community, the themes too. Unfortunately, my own personal tastes kept getting in the way. This time I intend to pick a community member from the Google Group that I made (send me your email if you want in) and let them post their favorite music for a week. By getting rid of the middle man (me) I intend on bringing to life my initial image of dTunes, a place where the community can enrich itself and create a better understanding on the individual members of the community by exploring their personal tastes.
In hindsight, I should have checked to see how exactly RonBurgandy2010 writes the archives. I didn't realize over these past two days that posting the entire contents of a mix album would end up forcing our dear host to have to spend his entire weekend just to type everything in.
I was initially going to share one more piece of my obsessive collection in full for this third edition of dTunes, but since we're both fatigued from my little lack of foresight, I'm going to go much easier these next few days.
So, in lieu of long-lost memories and blasts from the past, I'm going to shuffle my schedule around a bit and introduce the community to one of my favorite bands touring the video game music circuit: This Place Is Haunted.
This Place Is Haunted, founded in State College, PA often joins some of their better-known contemporaries such as Entertainment System, Rare Candy, and The Megas at events such as 64-Bit Genocide and MAGfest. Unlike those other bands, who play arrangements of individual tracks, TPIH prefers to compose elaborate overtures to games, spanning its entire soundtrack in one extended medley.
So, while I do some reshuffling with my lineup (and some possible groveling), please enjoy the musical stylings of This Place Is Haunted. You can find their CDs and concert information at thisplaceishaunted.com, and check back tomorrow for my much-shorter-from-now-on-honest editions of dTunes.

Hey! Like Santa? Like secrets? Like Destructoid? Then there are at least three things you'll like about Cataract's annual Destructoid Secret Santa. Signups start now, and go through November 7th. Visit Cataract's blog for more information!
Whoa, no need to cut your posts down! Luckily, you had the band name and song typed in under it (like you were supposed to). I just copy and paste in those cases. Your posts may actually take less time than someone who posted less than a quarter of the stuff you put.
Well, this was my Friday post anyway. Truth be told, that format I was using was pretty exhausting. So I'm still going to be doing some new stuff for my last two days.
Destructoid is an open discussion community. You don't need to "audition" to post a comment - just speak your mind. We respect differing opinions on the site, so have at it. Be smart, funny, insightful, clueless, or cute -- but back it up with substance. Keep your cool, keep it fun. We only ask that you act respectfully and above all: don't be a troll and ruin it for everyone else. Don't bring down gamers or we'll, you know, gently shoot you in the face and stuff you into a flaming mailbox. Each comment is your opportuntity to make this community awesomer. Is that even a word?
Avoiding the banhammer only requires common sense: spamming, trolling, racism, NSFW stuff, and other forms of sucking will not be tolerated. If anyone is griefing please report abuse. Be good. Don't suck!
