About dTunes:
dTunes originally started as a blog in which I would showcase a new band every week. Soon, I moved on to themes. Every video was meant to be suggested by the community, the themes too. Unfortunately, my own personal tastes kept getting in the way. This time I intend to pick a community member from the Google Group that I made (send me your email if you want in) and let them post their favorite music for a week. By getting rid of the middle man (me) I intend on bringing to life my initial image of dTunes, a place where the community can enrich itself and create a better understanding on the individual members of the community by exploring their personal tastes.
Day 4. A little late, yeah. Thursdays and Fridays are my busiest days, so tomorrow will be a late post too. Anyways, not much else to say, except that today is a J-Core day. Descriptions will be short. I expect no one to listen to anything provided in this post.
1. t+pazolite
One of the biggest names in J-Core, and for very good reason too. For those new to the genre, it can be pretty hard to start off on the right act. This is mainly because for every one good artist, there's about 5 really, really bad ones. t+pazo will always be one of the first I'd recommend to someone who's looking to get into the genre.
2. Cycheouts Ghost
BASS BASS AND MORE BASS. That's Cycheouts Ghost's specialty. And that's all you need to know.
3. Nadeco
Nadeco is pretty knew to the scene, first appearing on a DAR release in 2008, and has since worked on with the likes of Minamotrance and ALiCE'S EMOTiON. He has a penchant to use more classical instruments in his works, like pianos and violins all over a blaring ravers tune. Some of my favorite J-Core tracks are made by Nadeco, including two of the ones I've featured by him below.
4. RoughSketch
High. Powered. Raver. Music.
5. DJ Schwarzenegger
Another J-Core artist with not to many personal releases, but he has appeared on many compilations, most notably on the Mob Squad Tokyo label. He's also the creator of my personal theme song.
DTUNES NEEDS YOU! We need more contributors! Check the sidebar for more info. Got some tunes you want to share? Well the Dtoid community would love to hear them. Can't do a week? A single day is fine. We're here to spread the love!
Destructoid is an open discussion community. You don't need to "audition" to post a comment - just speak your mind. We respect differing opinions on the site, so have at it. Be smart, funny, insightful, clueless, or cute -- but back it up with substance. Keep your cool, keep it fun. We only ask that you act respectfully and above all: don't be a troll and ruin it for everyone else. Don't bring down gamers or we'll, you know, gently shoot you in the face and stuff you into a flaming mailbox. Each comment is your opportuntity to make this community awesomer. Is that even a word?
Avoiding the banhammer only requires common sense: spamming, trolling, racism, NSFW stuff, and other forms of sucking will not be tolerated. If anyone is griefing please report abuse. Be good. Don't suck!
