About dTunes:
dTunes originally started as a blog in which I would showcase a new band every week. Soon, I moved on to themes. Every video was meant to be suggested by the community, the themes too. Unfortunately, my own personal tastes kept getting in the way. This time I intend to pick a community member from the Google Group that I made (send me your email if you want in) and let them post their favorite music for a week. By getting rid of the middle man (me) I intend on bringing to life my initial image of dTunes, a place where the community can enrich itself and create a better understanding on the individual members of the community by exploring their personal tastes.
Hey hey hey guys. I just want to say how pleased I am at how this series is going and how well received it is now. This is all I ever really wanted for my series, for people to discover new music and expand their view of exactly what music can be and what it means to people. I personally can't make it through the day without music, either in the car or my room or just looping a song in my head at work. I've always wanted to share things with people, but my original approach just didn't work. I love what my friends have done with my series (Dillinger, I can't get "Mojo" out of my head, I love you). I only realize now that I couldn't do this alone, I need the help of a few friends. I just want to say thanks everyone who has been involved and have yet to be. I love you guys, I couldn't have done this alone.
Now let's get down to business. I need as many people as humanly possible to join our ranks. I don't care who you are, if you're interested, shoot me an emails at one of my emails which can be found in the sidebar. Yes, even Heretic is invited. I know there must be many people passionate about music here. I'd love to give you an outlet to share your musical tastes among people who understand (and love) you. I'll take all comers.
And now, because this is dTunes, here's some amazing music. I don't know who here introduced me to these guys, but I love you forever. I picked up the CD yesterday and it's phenomenal.
Just a couple of things Jimbo, you do an entire week (Mon-Fri) and I pick people at random (kind of). Just email my Gmail account and I'll put you on the waiting list. I think I already have next week assigned though.
Everyone should really consider doing a week! It's a lot of fun just getting to write casually about music that you love and see how people react to it.
A whole week? Ooooh, I'll have to retract my offer. Unfortunately I can't commit for a week, a post yes, a week I'm too busy. Good stuff though, Kauza did a bang up job on his stint.
Ron, maybe you could fill a whole week with people who only can do one night. What do you think? If so, you can count me in. Let me think about a whole week for a moment.
Destructoid is an open discussion community. You don't need to "audition" to post a comment - just speak your mind. We respect differing opinions on the site, so have at it. Be smart, funny, insightful, clueless, or cute -- but back it up with substance. Keep your cool, keep it fun. We only ask that you act respectfully and above all: don't be a troll and ruin it for everyone else. Don't bring down gamers or we'll, you know, gently shoot you in the face and stuff you into a flaming mailbox. Each comment is your opportuntity to make this community awesomer. Is that even a word?
Avoiding the banhammer only requires common sense: spamming, trolling, racism, NSFW stuff, and other forms of sucking will not be tolerated. If anyone is griefing please report abuse. Be good. Don't suck!

I only hope I can do justice to all the fucking sweet posts that came previously.
school has taken a major chunk there... but for a week of posting about music i can manage i think.
I like how this turned out.
