If this is true, I don't man I'll be disappointed, but 1up is reporting that not only Tomonobu Itagaki is leaving Tecmo/Team Ninja but so are 36 Team Ninja staffers all due to the unpaid bonuses that Tecmo failed to pay them for games like Dead or Alive 4. Not only that, but those 36 former staff members will be filling a class action law suit against Tecmo, so not only will Tecmo have a case coming from Itagaki himself, but also a class action suit from these guys. Despite Tecmo saying that all is well at Team Ninja, if this rumor has any truth to it, obviously all is not well, this would essentially kill Team Ninja off along with Dead or Alive and Ninja Gaiden.
Itagaki leaving was like a kick to the balls for me, but this is like a sledgehammer to them. Team Ninja was my favorite eastern developer, Dead or Alive my favorite fighter, and Ninja Gaiden my favorite action game. It will be a sad day if this is ever confirmed. Tecmo will probably give the franchises to other devs and things will never be the same again, even more so.

These are the game developers of our lives.
Thats what I thought. Other than like Fatal Frame, I can't think of any Tecmo game that brings in money, and even saying Fatal Frame would bring in money is a stretch
@Razerangel
Thats my dream
@Snakedude
If you didn't get paid money I'm sure you'd be pissed too.
Are you kidding? If I'd do the same. I'd also burn That Mother down.
Sometimes the japanese can be really dumb and stubborn, where their business practices are concerned. We can only pray that Tecmo come to their senses, as we all stand to lose out on some good games.
I hope this doesn't impact the development of Fatal Frame for Wii, because its looking really good, especially as its the kind of game Wii needs. 36 people though, that's a lot of man power, potentially walking out the door.
Sort it out, Tecmo, we need you and your giggly breasted games.
TECMO BOWL!
