Rock Band 2 looks like... Rock Band!

GT had the first gameplay footage of Rock Band 2 and well, it looks like Rock Band, I'll give you that. Remember when Harmonix said that Rock Band wouldn't turn into a yearly affair? Yeah well I doubt EA had any of that malarky! I'm starting to think that Rock Band 2 is being a bit rushed, but never the less I like what they've added. The new color effect looks nice and crazy and the animations are still far superior than that of Guitar Hero. Over all, I'm still going to be holding Rock Band 2 in higher "want factor" than Guitar Hero World Tour

Aw man, I am totally bummed out. For a second there I thought RB 2 would use the U3 engine and feature the ability to use your bandmates as human shields from projectiles thrown at you during your gigs.

Well I am in no way shocked that Harmonix announced Rock band 2. I have no doubt in my mind they new that Activision was working on Guitar Hero: World Tour. EA couldn't just let this game be released an not release some type of product to compete along beside it. It would be suicide. A 1 year old product can not compete with a brand new product, even if it is the same game underneath it all.

I am a little disappointed though that Rock Band 2 does not have some of the cool features the new Guitar Hero game is going to have, but you can't expect them to reinvent the wheel this soon. They need to stick with what worked in Rock Band 1 if they are going to bring a sequal out this soon.

Oh well ... ether way I'll still buy the game.

I'll probably buy the drum-game bundle (if they have it) and that's about it. I love Rock Band. I do, I do, I do, I do, I do-oo.

I didn't expect something else. Still I will buy the game for the features and not for the graphics.

The game could look exactly the same, yet I'd still buy it for the added and refined features, since the first game had a bunch of small issues I wanted resolved.

I smelled bullshit the moment they said there wouldn't be yearly installments... but I'm very glad the DLC will work with both versions of the game.

Rock Band 2. Being a European Playstation 3 owner, I might be able to get this by 2010.

Then again, I only want it if it has plenty of Maiden or Metallica.
