Well Bungie, it doesn't seem like it was that bad with Microsoft after all? Remember that countdown on Bungie.net? Yeah well, countdown is no more. Turns out Bungie was going to reveal a brand new game (probably) tomorrow at E3 buuuuuuuut their publisher says "no."

Sucks for us all, but what two bit publisher would not jump at the chance at saying "We have Bungie's new game at E3" no matter what.

Shame on you mystery publisher.

UPDATE:

According to Luke Smith (sorta works for Bungie) on Neogaf, he confirmed two things.
1. Microsoft is still the publisher like they said in the split (I can't believe I forgot about that fact)
2. To the people saying this is a trick it is not Bugnie's "style" of tomfoolery.

Apparently there's been more Bungie staffers saying the same thing about it not being fake, so who knows.

I don't know though. I'll still wait till tomorrow until I don't see anything to confirm.
