Remember how Xbox.com's Ninja Gaiden II pages said that there'd be a demo in May ever since March. Remember how its common curtosy to do the things you say you're going to do... especailly when you say them for 2 months? Yeah, Microsoft doesn't remember that. Oh the Ninja Gaiden II demo was released to day, the second to last day of May, but I don't think I was reading Xbox.co.jp when I read "DEMO IN MAY"
The demo was only released in Japan as
shown on Major Nelson's blog. I would say its time to fire up those old Japanese Xbox Live accounts, but thanks to Microsoft's "Gold first" policy, you're fucked... unless you're actually Japanese. Now Major Nelson says theres a world wide demo planned, but the head of xbox live has no fucking clue when it's going to be released... Yeah, thats cool. I'll make sure to download that demo after I buy the game. That serves a real purpose.
I mean, I am going to buy the game regardless, I'm just pissed how Xbox.com said there would be a demo for two months and now there isn't.
So damnit...
I recently downloaded that NGII demo with a Japanese account. The game itself is well worth making a new account for, the demo is definitely one of the best on XBL.
That said, it annoys me that it wasn't also relased everywhere else, the demo IS in English, so why isn't it released worldwide?
The silver/gold account stuff should also be done away with. Eventually PSN will catch up (who knows when though), and if they still require you to pay for Gold, the 360 may fall behind.
Apologies for the long comment, I just felt like expressing, being that this is my first contribution to this site.
That made my laugh so hard when I downloaded the Trusty Bell (Eternal Sonata) demo from the japanese market place to find that it was in full english and it had an ESRB rating while it was only in japan. CERO anyone?
I can't wait
Too bad I'm not getting this game until AFTER I beat MGS4
Demo is about halfway done now!
You start with fully upgraded Dragon Sword, Sythe, and Falcon Talons. You end up getting the lunar staff later. Gore is nuts. The regenerating health bar is much appreciated. Ends probably near the end of the first chapter with a scene of flying Ryu like in his DOA4 ending cinematic.
All around, this is one bad ass game.
I'm eager to see what the harder difficulties throw at you. Out of curiousity, what weapons do you find yourself using most?
The Dragon Sword is good, not nearly as good as the other two, and I personally hate Lunar (aside from it's ultra-spammable UT).
Perhaps I should make my first blog post about the demo, or something of that nature.
Talons FTW.
