I actually am fairly happy with my setup, so I'm not looking to win. However, it saddens me to see how many Turning Point Rig posts there are coming from newly registered folks. I'm only entering because I felt like sharing my rat's nest of a gamer's corner and b) I was hoping that I could gift a possible win to one of the longer-time regulars who desperately needs it. If that's not allowed or people think it's not cool, whatever, I'd rather not enter the contest. Either way, here's my sad little corner of the web:



As you can see, I've already started on the Not My Goodwill Pile up there. Down below is my server CaptainMorgan (he's currently defunct, so I guess he's more like an AdmiralNelson right now). The server has something like 1.5 TB running Debian. As for the actual rig, it's got something like a AMD X2 4400+ or something like that, 4GB Ram, and an ATI 1950XPro which runs TF2 beautifully on the highest settings, which is all I really care about.

I've also got one of the worst mistakes I ever made in terms of buying computers, my laptop. Granted, it was replacing an old-ass eMachines laptop (that I sent in 17 times during it's 3 year warranty, best $100 I ever spent), so it wasn't THAT bad a choice, but still. I rue the day I ever tried to get a small gaming laptop. They just don't work. I can run TF2 at 640x480 with about 20fps, but if this sad panda isn't sitting on a desk, my sperm count drops like a rock. It runs way too hot while doing way too little. Such is the way it goes with XPS I guess. It *is* small though. At least there's that...
