Here it is, the day after, time to look back and see what was learned during FNF. To quote a famous philosopher, "It was the best of times, it was the worst of times" GTA4 was
amazing when we finally got everyone on board and everything working. But it was hell getting there. A lot of people could not connect because of what I presume is the various NAT problems
Kit described here. The first time we got a lobby ready to go it just stayed at the loading screen for minutes and minutes and minutes, forcing me to restart my XBawks. I know the PS3 crowd has also been having more frustrating
problems than these. I remember reading something on the front page on how Rockstar wanted to overtake CoD4 and the Haloez as most played online game on XBL, and let me tell you something Rockstar, unless these issues are resolved that is
never happening.
The rest of the recap is as follows:
- In a racing match, there is usually a huge gap between the first placing people and the last placing people. No such thing as a close race between more than a few racers.
- The Prison map sucks dick.
- The Mafiya and carjackers modes arent nearly as fun as the head-to-head gametypes.
- Reaprar hates my housemates.
- I don't know how people can play Free Mode for so long.
- Free-for-all Deathmatch on Happiness Island is both frantic and fun as hell.
- Some people need to learn how to use the radar.
- You can have just as good of a time with Toiders you've never met as you do with your buddies.
I don't know how people can't play Free Mode for so long.
did some seriously funny tricks with helicopters :-)
I just joined a random match
I think you were the only one that bought the GameGear version. Thems the breaks when you have a multiplatform relelase...
I think my favourite quote of the night was when Metroid SR388 said "I've been ran over 3 times already, and here comes number 4!"
I had no idea what I was playing, but I beat him!
Rocket launchers FTW, but Ak's FTW more.
