EGM = Win (though not as much win as Dtoid but those are two totally diffrent things).
Also: Dtoid needs a magazine.
That's just MO on it.
I see this getting worse before it gets better, possibly devolving into a Jets vs. Sharks situation.
But but, 1up has such hot women in the 1up show!

I stand by my previous statements: there are cool people on the 1UP/EGM team, like Jeremy Parish, Shane Bettenhausen, Scott Sharkey, Crispin, Ray, and some other guys in that crowd. Outside of that, it's just a bunch of regular journalists who cycle in and out of the magazine every few months and rarely make an impact. I doubt this guy has much of an influence there, as I've never heard his name before. Probably an indication of why he sucks so much.

I'm on the fence, but I'm a bit of a dtoid fanboy now so I can't speak about any other sites without a hint of venom.
@Neonie: Why would DToid need a magazine? None of the "news" in Game Informer is anything new after I've already read it online. The only reason I get it is because Gamestop ships it to me for owning their card.

Novelty. It would be awsome to hold Dtoid's news in my hands. I could care less if i've already read it, I would read it again on real paper. I just like that feeling.

I don't think dtoid regulars jumping in like hypersensitive only-children is going to help much. Does anyone give a fuck about 1up, one way or the other? I visit the site sometimes, remember how horrible the layout is, and leave again. That's about the extent of it.

I really don't understand why Phillip decided to not acknowledge the Destructoid mascot being included in the Bomberman expansion pack. I mean, it was all over the press release Hudson released today.
Odd...very odd...
Anyways, you really should find out the full story before passing judgment on someone. Phillip is actually a pretty standup guy and I'm sure there's a reasonable explanation for the way the article came out.
Used to be that IGN was my go to site for video game info, and 1up & Gamespot was my fall back on slow newsdays. After discovering that DESTRUCTOID is the premier video game news and community website, IGN became my fall back when nothing's happening (read: once in a blue moon) here. Maybe that's why they failed to mention you guys... even saying destructoid causes people to leave by the thousands.
I agree with Neonie, a dtoid magazine would rock pretty hard, even if it were full of OFN.
As far as the 1up editors, I've always liked Crispin, Shoe and Mark Macdonald. There are some other interesting writers, but those three vets have always stood out in my mind
Not that it matters because nowadays I subscribe to game informer instead of EG (gamestop discount cards ftw) and I read destructoid over 1up.
