We all know that Nintendo hasn't exactly embraced online gaming this generation. There have only been two online capable games(to my knowledge)for the Wii, Mario Strikers and Pokemon Battle Revolution, both of which are 1st party titles. So when Guitar Hero 3 was announced to have online capabilities for the Wii, a few eyebrows were raised. Apparently Jim Squires at
TheBBPS.com contacted Red Octane on whether or not if online play was actually going to be available, and he got this answer “we’re working closely with Nintendo for an online solution, though at the moment we’re unable to confirm the status of the online multi-player.” This includes both online play and downloadable content. I know, no real surprise, but a big dissapointment to those Wii owners who wanted to rock out with their DLC out.
Right, no online for GH3. Get going, Nintendo.
