Signs of life for "Max Payne" movie from Variety - real news! I promise!

Hey guys...apparently the possibility of a "Max Payne" movie is more realistic than at least I thought. According to an article in Variety, Fox is trying to get a film version of Max Payne rolling before/during the dreaded screenwriter strike that could hit Hollywood as soon as Thursday.

The strike would mean, you know, no one is writing new movies for awhile. Maybe there's a script for a Max Payne movie floating around that they are thinking about trying to get into production? All I know for sure is this:

1) I love Max Payne

2) I love good movies

3) I would absolutely adore a good Max Payne movie. Make it happen!

I love Max Payne but it sounds like they are trying to rush this, which isn't good.

Eric Mabius is Max Payne.. NO other actor could ever do Max better than this man... he is in a word perfection in flesh..

He looks and talks and acts like Max Payne... fi you do not agree you need to quickly ingest 2 cups of anything blue under the kitchen sink and pray to what ever god you worship for sinning the greatest sin ever

The idea of a max payne movie make my pants tight. Two of the best games for overall fun I ever played even if they did have their little foibles.

Max Payne would be a sweet movie .........unless Uwe Boll directs it , and in that case it will suck harder then a fat kid on a 7-11 slurpee

I love Max Payne, if they can make a movie that keeps the atmosphere of the game I will be happy.

As long as they model it after Max Payne 1 and not the second. I hated the second and the voice was much better in the first.

Get Quentin Tarantino to direct or Rodriguez, they can make some fucked up shit and Max Payne was definitely messed up.
