Another 360 Dies...

So my fourth xbox360 died just now. For no apparent reason whatsoever. It worked fine for
some COD4 last night, and today it decided that it should give me the Disk Read Error.
My first three 360s all died from 3RL. At least this one decided to mix it up a bit.
Of course this happens as soon as the LIVE issues seem to be calming down.

Well, looks like my PS3 will continue to dominate my game time, as Microsoft can't seem to
sustain any working networking services (LIVE DOWN FOR 25 DAYS NOW) or hardware, as it
will be another month (at least) until I can play another game.

It's also to be noted that they told me to send in my power supply as well as my console, as
this is my fourth repair in the last year. Maybe that'll provide SOME sort of hardware
reliability this time around? Let's hope so.

Though, I've only had one go bad in less than a year I cannot imagine four...

If they're having you send the power supply, they'll probably be sending you one of the newer Falcon units in return. (175w power supply as opposed to 203w.) So good on you if this is the case. All indications are that the Falcon 360s are by far cooler and more reliable.

I'm hoping I get so lucky. I'll be sending mine in when the box arrives.

How the hell do people go through so many XBox 360s? From the amount people report about it sounds like 8 in 10 XBox 360 die, yet I'm still on my first XBox 360 and haven't had a single problem with it yet.

a new reliable one is supposedly coming. I'll probably give in and by another xbox when that time comes.

Yeah hopefully this new Falcon will be the last 360 I own. I've grown so weary of this whole process. First I have to go a whole month without playing my LIVE games, now I have to go at least a month without ANY of my games. And I have a ton of 360 games, as its my primary gaming system.
