I'm unclear as to how the second two victory conditions are intended to work or if they're even necessary.
The other bit I'm confused about are the face-down cards. Are they intended to be used as interrupts? Your example game suggests this but, apart from keeping a hand under seven cards, I can't see any other reason.
There's some good stuff here, though. Not a bad approach at all.
I originally intended the multiple victory conditions to allow for different ways to play the game. You could go all out and destroy the army, or you could play it subtlety and just accomplish the set score to win.
As for the cards face down, I don't understand what you're asking... but it's late, maybe I should just climb into my bed...
@Conrad: the face down cards are both interupts and back up plans as it were, in the example game one of them was flipped over after a card had been hit to boost its points.
I love this community.
I'm going to actually read the rules now.
@ RazorAngel
Glad you picked up on that. To be honest, I've only ever had fun with the Yugioh and Pokemon series. I thought it would be best to keep it simple with the direction and maybe use a format that someone might be able to recognize.
@ NotAZombie
Thanks! I'll flesh out a few more ideas a bit more. Last night, after I had worked on it for a while, I wanted to get the communities thoughts on the direction.
@ Neonie
I'll edit in a text version, but I have to get ready for my summer class.
