PS3 fanboys have been losing their shit.

Some guy going by the alias Super_Secret comes to N4G forums and posts a thread that claims to explain why there is no cross game chat on the PS3 yet. Naturally it blames a big (unnamed, although claimed not to be Activision) company for pressuring sony into not adding XGC support until it works on their games.

Big companies are so easy to blame for all of societies ills aren't they? < micro rant.

It doesn't stop there, some man posted a list of all EA's corporate email addresses in a thread ON EA's FORUMS. (?) This will surely make for some interesting fanboy friday material.

Think of the worst thing you have ever seen on 4chan, multiply that by 1000. It was a bunch of mutilated penis pictures and dead bodies/dismembered crushed heads. Sickening shit. Looks like the EA mods finally woke up and deleted all the posts lol, place looks baron now, I'd wager at least 95% of the posts in the last 3 hours were nothing but 4channers spamming pictures.

Chrono, thats not worse than what you see on 4chan, thats what you do see on 4chan, if they get their gore on. Besides, pics are nothing compared to videos of some of that stuff actually happening... *shudders*

The EA thread is gone now, anyway. Sounds like it took an oddly long time to shut it down.

That shit is fucked up beyond belief. I mean sure get a nice little fanboy shitstorm going big deal, we've seen it all before. But post something like that ridiculous picture doesn't make any sense. I haven't seen it but I've got an idea how it looked like. Some idiots on Metal Forums seem to like to post that crap once in a while. I stopped going to those forums a long time ago. I've seen some fucked up pics on Rotten.com but never did I see mutilated dicks.

Oh and people, instead of saying "Oh Jesus Fuck!" etc. a little description of that picture would work a lot better. I know I was curious after reading the comments here. But after reading Chronoswing's comment (thanks for the warning) I'm glad they took it down before I could watch it.

Do these fanboys count as sentient beings? I'm sure they look human, but after reading a few of those comments, it just seems to me that such a giant firestorm wouldn't be started by an unconfirmed rumor of a feature that's next to useless. Also I'm kind of glad I didn't get here in time to see the 4chan spammers.

For any curious people, it was like a large composition of some of the sickest images I've ever seen. There was a woman with her head split in two from the top of her head down to her chin, there was a fetus with its head cut off, there was a naked chick smiling as she took a hacksaw to a man's neck, there was somebody crushing a kitten's head underneath their foot. I wanted to look away but just couldn't.

Sheppy, from what I understand is that apparently cross-game chat and in-game music do work perfectly with 95% of the PS3's library. EA has several games within the 5% due to them basically taking shortcuts in development and not bringing the code up to Sony's standard. And instead of living with the fact that some of their games would not work with these features, they have threatened to stop supporting the PS3 if Sony makes the features universal instead of on a game-to-game basis. This way no one would find their games to be sub-par to what else is on the PS3, and the 360 too.

Of course this is all still a rumour (it is, right?) and Sony really should have had these features from the start. But if it is true, then it is pretty disgusting that EA would blackmail Sony and prevent their customers from getting a better product. Guess we'll have to wait and see how this unfolds.

Haha and yeah, posting graphic pictures won't help the problem either.
