Put Mr. Roboto in a scene like the original Super Smash Bros, with a child's hand or the Master Hand glove sort of pretending he's fighting someone.
Awesome models. Are you using SolidWorks?
No I use 3dsMax and render with Final Render. I meant to ask in the post, but does everyone like the clear plastic part on top? The smoking robot that Mr. Destructoid is based off of has it, but the DToid robot doesn't.
And rest assured, whatever I do with him for the final shot, he'll be breaking something / someone / both simultaneously.
Great work! I say ditch the plastic part for the true Mr. Destructoid experience. He is his own robot, after all.
Awesome work!
I'd also say remove the plastic part but I'm not sure what to suggest for a scene. Sorry.
God I wish I could do this.
@Cheeburga
I actually taught a group of kids to use 3dsMax over a week's worth of summer school last year. Your reply gave me an idea... If I made a series in my blog to teach some 3D basics and some tutorials to follow along with (like the dtoid robot for instance), do you think there'd be alot of people on here that would be into it?
@ Everyone else
I'll lose the plastic bit and post again when I have the final shot finished
Im currently learning maya at uni but i'd definetly be interested in any tutorials on offer from someone in the industry.
Get on it :D
I would. I took animation in high school, like, 10 years ago. I'm sure stuff has changed a littttle bit. I'm in construction now, animation doesn't pay enough these days, so if I do animation, its all for fun. I like the Lego model, but the lighting needs some work.
That's pretty sick. I had a hard time with 3DS Max. It sucks, cause I don't have it anymore :|
Nice stuff man!
Nice work Boyle!
touch me you dirty man you
Yeah, make a series yo.
