I usually post later at night, but since today is good friday I have neither school nor work today. I originally posted a picture of my tv stand/console home a while back on my "not my turning point gaming rig" contest entry. It was with my terrible cell phone camera, and did not display the entire scope of my collection. My girlfriend lent me her camera so I could take some decipherable picture of the thing. So anyways, here is my setup.
I've been collecting consoles ever since I got my n64. Previous to that I was a simple child and my parents would not let me have more than one console at a time. I don't have anything extremely rare, and the collection obviously is not complete.
Above the television rests some games that I haven't finished, or enjoy playing regularly on the left. The has my very tiny anime dvd collection, and the DS games are below that. Moving on...
This is the leg from my rock band drum kit, and behind it the 360 and wii games. This is where they are shelved after I beat them and have no immediate interest in playing them in the near future. Also, there is a large amount of excess wires behind these games, something I'll get to later.
These are my gamecube (on the right), xbox (middle), and ps2 (left) games. There are three layers. The front being a set of games that I enjoy, but have no real desire to play anytime soon. The next layer is pretty much the same, but I KNOW that I'm not going to play them for a while. The last layer (hidden in the back, I see you second prince of persia game) is the games that I don't think I'm going to play for many years to come.
This is my NES, SNES, GBA, Virtual Boy, Saturn, and PSP collections with some regularly fun to play PS2, gamecube, and xbox games there on the right for easy access. GBA, PSP, and the DS also featured. There's a bunch of my university text books hidden in the back and boxes which once contained figures and just contain accessories in case I ever decide to switch up poses on anything.
The big problem that I have is with backwards compatibility and the virtual console have let me unplug many of my consoles, since I can play their games these new fangled consoles with fancy wireless controllers. This has really left me with a huge glut of leftover wires and controllers. Anyways, thanks for looking at my game collection. I know that I don't have anything older than an NES, but I've only really collected the consoles I used to play as a kid. I didn't have anything before that. I'm sure those things are fun, but I'm really running out of space to put things. I think I have correctly programmed the bbcode to let you click on the pictures to give you access to higher resolution ones, check that out if you desire to not be restricted by the regular destructoid picture resolution.
my eyes still hurt from that damn thing.
i'z be'z jealous'z
also, startropics ftw.always.earthbound in action form!
really?
THATS NUTS.
I'll Beat you ¬_¬
@smathjeloc - No, sadly no chrono trigger in my collection. 13 year old me had it, but sold it when I had to change over from the SNES to the N64 (since I was only allowed one console).
@thegregsaw - I don't 100% understand your question, I think I just might be reading it wrong. I think I know what you're asking so I'll say "my parents got me a gameboy (it was my first videogame system ever) and I had it in addition to my single console"
@CptBazmeister - Are you asking to beat me at guitar hero? I'm not super good at it and cannot beat it on expert, only hard. If you check my profile you'll find my xbox live namething if you want to add me and kill me at guitar hero.
