No more Nintendo Fusion Tour?
bmaupin | 4:59 PM on 09.12.2007 6 comments

Hm, the Nintendo Fusion Tour is either sung it's last note or entered into hiatus. Usually it kicks off about this time each year, but the Tour's website now just redirects to Nintendo.com and the Wiki lists no information on 2007.

It's kind of a shame, seeing as the tour usually had bands that were on the cuff of going big and most of them did soon after the tour. Plus of course, there was free Nintendo schwag and playables. Maybe Nintendo is tired of shelling out money to entice the teenagers?

The most recent one had Hawthorne Heights and other sucky bands, but the one before it was awesome. Motion City Soundtrack (one of my favorite bands), The Starting Line, Panic! At the Disco, and Boys Night Out (amazing) are all in my regular rotation (well, Panic not so much lately), and even Fall Out Boy is at least tolerable. I was so pissed off when all the tickets were gone by the time I heard about it.

Destructoid is an open discussion community. You don't need to "audition" to post a comment - just speak your mind. We respect differing opinions on the site, so have at it. Be smart, funny, insightful, clueless, or cute -- but back it up with substance. Keep your cool, keep it fun. We only ask that you act respectfully and above all: don't be a troll and ruin it for everyone else. Don't bring down gamers or we'll, you know, gently shoot you in the face and stuff you into a flaming mailbox. Each comment is your opportuntity to make this community awesomer. Is that even a word?

Avoiding the banhammer only requires common sense: spamming, trolling, racism, NSFW stuff, and other forms of sucking will not be tolerated. If anyone is griefing please report abuse. Be good. Don't suck!
