Bungie forgot that Halo 3 supports 16 players?

How come every single ranked playlist on Halo 3 caps the player limit at 8? How am I supposed to rack up triple kills and run over unsuspecting children with the Mongoose if there's only 4 people on a team? The social playlists don't even go over 12! I know they can change the playlists at any time, but what's the point of multiplayer if you don't use it's full extent with an almighty team objective 16 player slayfest? There's a huge hole in my Halo Heart.

I'm tired of rinky dink 3v3 and 4v4 matches, this isn't Dreamcast.

Ya know I was thinking the same thing but figured i was possibly doing something wrong, perhaps there are more getting besides the one that comes up when the > button is pressed

Playlists will change after a while. I'm sure eventully their going to get some better and more player ridden playsistes on both Social and Ranked.

i was just talking to a friend about that. i honestly guesses it's been caped because of launch wave. and they didt want the servers to crash.

You can't make a custom match and set it for 8v8? Even Resistance has 20v20, seems like if anyone, Bungie could at least come close to that.

They are probably just trying to make sure 8 works. I mean they don't want to overload the system and destroy XBL.
