Great. Now once the teenagers get done mocking CJayC for complete selling out to CNet, they'll come over here and ruin this site.
Unless Cnet decides to turn GameFAQs into a MySpace for emo teen gamers... (CNET: HINT! HINT! HINT!)
A grave and potential truth. Also why my mouse never ever goes near any of the Message Board tabs there.
I just saw this, was about to make a post about it. I hope GameFAQs remains pretty much the same. I would hate to see it go to some sort of pay structure just because they can finally get the founder out of the way and rob people.
Coming soon....
BRADYFAQS!
Catch the fever!
I doubt they'd go a paid route. That'd require a hell of a lot of effort to track down all of the authors and get them to agree to sign over their work. Most of 'em make a point of having "NOT FOR SALE" or some variation thereof in their FAQs.
I'd definitely yank the ones I'd put up if they tried that, I can say that much.
Like any of the shulbs who have faqs on IGN got paid to do it...
Whatnot is not a word...sorry pet peeve.
I was initially going to have said "whosajiggers."
The last time I looked in the mirror and asked if I wanted to do this for a living I think I ejaculated on my mint copy of Super Contra
CJayC's site has saved me more times than I can count. And for that, I salute him.
Way to give the over-priced strategy guide industry the bird!
GameFAQs, as a tool, I give a big <3 to.
