CJayC, the fella that started up GameFAQs over a decade ago, is finally calling it quits. The site isn't going anywhere, but the headmaster is stepping down.

Considering all the times I've had to look up random obscure puzzle solutions and whatnot there, I salute the man for his dedication all these years.

I just saw this, was about to make a post about it. I hope GameFAQs remains pretty much the same. I would hate to see it go to some sort of pay structure just because they can finally get the founder out of the way and rob people.

I doubt they'd go a paid route. That'd require a hell of a lot of effort to track down all of the authors and get them to agree to sign over their work. Most of 'em make a point of having "NOT FOR SALE" or some variation thereof in their FAQs.

I'd definitely yank the ones I'd put up if they tried that, I can say that much.
