Racism...in Nethack!

Let's keep the ol' race train a chuggin', shall we?

I am an orc. Not me myself, but in Nethack it's typically the race I prefer. I can eat whatever/whoever I like, sacrifice whatever/whoever I like, I've got infravision out the wazoo and I shrug off poison like it's nothin'. It's a good life.

So, when I rolled a dwarven valkyrie, I probably should've seen trouble coming. By sheer reflex, I've killed approximately six peacefuls in the Gnomish Mines. Worse, I just ate another dwarf. Heeeelllloooo~ Aggravate Monster intrinsic and luck in the toilet. This is rapidly becoming an issue for me as this has been one of my better games (clearing both the mines and sokoban so far).

I've thereby come to the conclusion that dwarves are an inferior race and that I need to polymorph myself ASAP. Hooray for the greenies! Boo for the stubbies!

And in regards to my post...it doesn't even matter anymore. Why, you curiously ask? I'll tell you. I met my friend Mr. Polymorph Trap. Unfortunately, it happened before I met my other friend. Mr. Polymorph Control Ring.

I'm a pyrolisk now. I burn things. It's what I do.

I can say I've never played orc. For some reason, I always play monk or some cleric race. I think it's because I'm too cheap to buy healing items.

Most of my non-barbarian expeditions will result in me being a Priest. Honestly, that's my favorite class -- I just tend to suck at it terribly. Especially when it gives you Crapspells� like Cure Blindness to start with.
