Dungeon level 12 today. The valkyrie is going surprisingly well so far. Expert in Longsword and Dagger with Two Weapon Combat coming along as soon as I have the levels for it.

I got teleportitis by accident, but I was able to ID a ring of teleport control. Still no touchstone, but I kept from nabbing a loadstone. Cleared a treasure zoo and an adjaced graveya--whattheshitjusthappened?!

Uh.

So, just as I was getting over being polymorphed into a pyrolisk (genus: selffriedus chickenus), I seem to have become a frost giant. And my dog is now a tiger.

Why is my dog a tiger now?

Honest question.

Well then.

Hmm. It ruined my armor and a well enchanted cloak, but I've still got a -6 AC so it's not a total loss. 18/** STR, so I guess I can't complain too hard. And my dog's a tiger. That's probably a good thing.

I guess.

Haven't come even remotely close after about five years of trying. Men have gone their entire lives without even seeing the Amulet of Yendor.

And a sad update: While retrieving spare armor from my stash in Minetown, my tigerdog was stepped on by a unicorn. RIP Boopsie. You were the best tigerdog I ever had.

Nah, it was a white one, so it wouldn't do my Lawful butt any good. I've got two horns anyway.

Shame it wasn't neutral. I could convert the Minetown altar... Haven't found a single other one yet.
