Hopefully this will make anyone think twice before attempting such a horror as this. They look so discontent. I wonder if they are happy.
Note: This video was found amongst the bloody ruins of a happy couple covered in bite marks that match the jaw of a dog. Investigators are still looking for the suspects and believe this video is the key to cracking the case. read more
Yesterday I downloaded this game cause it was free. Expecting another "racing" game with gimmicks or something that can statisfy me with only a demo like DiRT and Grid did. Unfortunately that is not the case for this game.
It could be the way the demo is set-up by making do a practice loop to prove you can make it and then a real race. It teaches you the basics and you can get through it pretty quickly. It was actually a nice way to do a tutorial. But it was my second time through that I realize it was enjoyable and easy to breeze through it unlike all instructional beginnings.
As for the game, it is actually a racing game. It just feels like all these other games recently coming out have something attached unto it trying to be more than just a racing game. What is wrong with racing? Sure it isn't F-Zero, but not every game can be perfect. You just race, do jumps with stunts to get boosts and go fast and faster. Doesn't help that it looks great and runs smoothly on my PS3.
Proably the biggest reason I liked the demo has got to be the controls. It moves fluidly and there was only one time I felt like I wasn't in control. I am not sure what happened there but I was making a sharp turn and it kept on turning into the woods. But anyways, it felt very "easy" to master and a breeze to fly through. Perhaps it is the look and control that make it arcadey, aka FUN to play. Who needs realism anyways? I can wreck my car in real life!
This puts me in a dilemna, do I buy new game when it comes out to enjoy or do I just rent it? I've never owned an ATV racing game before...but money can be sweet. What are you doing with this gem? read more
Hard to swallow huh? How long has he been passed and we are now getting a new album from him? Well believe it, it is coming. Or is this a ploy and he is still alive? Just wait for the tour and we will know for sure.
His new albume, apparently recorded TWO months before his death. But this isn't a rehash, it contains 40 minutes of previously unreleased stand-up material. That is always good. Said to capture most of the stuff he was working on for the next album. To add to this, there is a booklet with photos and excerpts from his private journals. Is that invasion of privacy? I'd be pissed...that is if I had a diar, err I mean journal.
Just how long do you have to wait for this? Less than a week! September 9 it will be released and you can pre-order it now. Or just wait for it to arrive. More info and shirts can be found out at his site.
I think it is time that Dtoid makes a trip to St. Louis to a minor-league baseball club to indulge and probably the greatest burger ever created in all of mankind. This screams of do want! You think you can handle..
The Krispy Kreme Burger!
One part donut, one part burger, all parts amazing! Want your heart attack here or to go? This video isn't the official $4.50 burger from outside St.Louis, but you get the idea since it contains all the necessary ingredients.
Yummy, huh?! I think the real burger has the donut cut in half and slightly toasted for extra flavory-goodness. That is the trick, toasting is the key. Who's with me?!
The burger isn't too bad, not as bad as this person eating the Krispy Kreme Hot Dog:
Man, is there anything Krispy Kreme DOESN'T make better? read more
It has happened again, and again, and again tonight. It all started with freezing (like it always did) and upon resetting it wouldn't load the main logo screen. The next reset gave me the all too familiar red blur. But determined to NOT let it happen again, I tried to disconnect it from the wall. Behold, it booted up...only to have no sound and not get past the title screen yet again.
Alas, the fate of all 360's, a RRoD. On the bright side, I don't have to worry about it dying right before or the day of the GREATEST game ever being released. What's worse is that this is just a common practice and I was thinking of buying a new system in the mean time. Why is that an okay thought? Buying another system to replace your old system...what is wrong with this picture?
I am really getting tired of this sorry piece of hardware. And I know this blog and that line alone will get people think I am hopped up on Haterade but I just think it is ridiculous that I have already gone through FOUR Red Rings of Death and I am sure of another one coming upon me.
Something is surely wrong with this picture, but will it get fixed? Well I am off to file away for a new 360. It better be here before L4D comes out or heads will roll! At least I already beat the overrated Castle Crashers this weekend. read more
Yahtzee jumps into another MMO/online sim thing cause someone emailed him about Age of Conan. With a 14 day trial, he takes this challenge to review and determine if this game is like any other MMO or not. I always wondered about this game and heard that the instruction manual is about the size of the yellow pages.
WAit, so you guys don't like the intro music?! read more
Very few people knew of its existance but when I heard that this game would be at PAX, I knew I had to track it down. That's what I did with Hoygeit by my side, we tracked it down on the end of the Resistance 2 demos.
Imagine Tabletop Defense and Starship Troopers and you got this game. Apparently no one knew about this game and I kept getting asked what it was. Eventually, as you can tell by this footage, someone came along to record it. I feel special...special ed but I NEED this game now more than ever! So much fun, SOOO MUCH FUN! read more
Just like Batman got a rejuvenation, so will the Turtles if Kevin Eastman has anything to say about it. And just so you know, this "Turtles Begins" movie will be a LIVE-ACTION feature film! Bring on the rubber suits please!
The animated film TMNT was pretty sweet and warranted enough for a sequel. The toy maker declared it to be a live-action movie for 2010. Since then, the live-action part is no longer on the main site, BUT the TMNT director still has it a go. He even went as far to post in the Heavy Metal Forum saying this...
Although the CGI film did well enough to warrant a sequel, there has been much talk between Imagi and Warners to do a better 're-invention' (newest Hollywood buzzword) of the TMNT's, in a live action film -- like what was done with Batman. Back to basics, back to the origin and the intro of the Shredder, etc.
Also,
There have been talks, trips to Northampton to talk to Mr Laird, and discussions with the original 'first' TMNT film director Steve Barron to come back and do it right -- but no official word yet.
Yes, I can dig it...I want to dig it. Roots, ninjas and turtles is what we need. How can you not be excited about this? Let's just hope they don't screw it up when the second one comes out.
Gamefly is trying out a new program and it is currently in it's BETA form. I don't know if it available to everyone but they are offereing it to me and it has me intrigued. The prices look good, hmmm...
I SWEAR that wasn't there last night!
Click the Trade-In tab and you are taken to this page. It asks to enter your UPC code or search for a title. To give you an idea of how much you get, Turok on 360/PS3 gets you $11.50 whereas Halo 3 gets you $23. Isn't that more than what GameStop would give you? They even give you details on how it works with four easy steps:
Couldn't be more simple, right? But wait, there are some more rules to this thing. Check them out...
Hmm, does this make Gamefly worth it now despite its lack of new releases? Are you more interested in Gamefly? read more
I was totally unaware that there was someone stupid enough in Hollywood to think of making it a feature length film on Guitar Hero. We already know about it from detailsand earlier, this new development actually makes it work though. It is the pitch...and it is genious!
Seriously? I mean c'mon! Brett Ratner, you are better than that, aren't you? I guess not. I can't believe this is the guy with the God of War movie in his hands! It is true, Hollywood knows NO bounds! read more
