I was just perusing the blogs, something I frown upon doing as of late, but meh, I'm kinda bored, when I came across a very interesting article of written words by my very bearded non-ps3 inviting friend Y0j1mb0. In said article, Y0j1mb0 brings up some very good points, followed by helplessly flailing around in the dark trying to find out other ways to help us in this far-recessed time, followed by giving up and trying to win things from Garison's pants. Unfortunately, he is wrong in all of these things, except for Garison's pants. So, I decided to rectify the situation for all you n00bz out there. But I digress... So, a price cut, eh? That's what we're here about, or, more specifically, why you're here, when finished I probably won't be back to re-read this, as I re-read it several times whilst writing it so...yeah. I believe that a price cut is severly needed for the PS3 to get back in the market. I mean, look, the PS3 is neat and all but it seriously has only sold, like, forty systems in the United States. With that kind of install base how do they expect to sell any games, especially with the price of things these days. Not that the PS3 has many games but the six games that the system has that are worth buying won't sell with how expensive the system is. That's why I, in all my general knowledge of areas of expertise, am proposing to Sony (who will listen to my proposal because it happens in movies all the time) this: Cut the PS3 the price of a game. Sixty dollars. Now, I know what you're thinking and you should stop that right now, put your pants back on, and take this a little more seriously. Sixty dollars? That's it? That's your "great idea"? Well...yes, yes it is. Just take your shoes down off your head, and listen, well, read for a minute. Sixty dollars off isn't much, right? But take that sixty dollars that you were going to use for your rather nice dust collector and put that money on A GAME and there you go. Now you're selling more consoles AND more games. Heck, a sixty dollar price cut could save the economy in America. Third world countries, you're on your own. I'm sorry, I've done all I can. But wait! There's more! The pricing of games, while I do agree that they're more than a little bit ridiculous this console cycle, have to stay up. If not for anything else but to help the game developers self-esteem stay up. Even piece of crap games, with the right marketing, are getting sold on release dates. So to help the developers, publishers, and janitors feel that they're doing it right, and that maybe they're making a mark in this world, and so they get paid the big bucks to bring us classics like Legendary and Eat Lead, we must keep the price of games up. As for controllers? If you had a racket like that, wouldn't you want to keep it up? I mean, have you played Mega Man 9? They're making sixty bucks a pop off of all those bastard kids who got that thinking they were tough shit, then launching the controller towards solid objects when the goddamn jump was just TWO PIXELS TOO SHORT RAAAAGE! As for anything related to the 360, how dare you good sir accuse the wonderful people at Microsoft of being anything other than the angels that they are! I mean, they are giving us the privilege of only paying fifty dollars a month to be on their Live account! Besides, owning a 360 is probably the most exciting thing in some peoples lives at the moment. Will it work? Is today the day I get to witness what only a generalized few people in the world have experienced, the mythical RROD? Why is the dashboard taking so long to load? Not to mention that they think so highly of us that they don't even need to send boxes to our houses to ship their quality console back for rarely needed repairs. Boxes are cheap, right? And everyone has at least one small enough to fit an xbox in around, right? So the next time any of you kids decide that you're tired of the whining, and the bitching, and the moaning, that this is the internet and you're only entitled to your opinion as far as you can throw it. *please note that this blog and all words and sentences in it are false. If accidentally taken, please consult a doctor, because you seriously need to be on some kind of "anti-stupid" medication. Looking forward to shots at PAX with you jimbo. Also, jeez I'm bored, look at all that writing up there.

Dude wtf. Last time I checked Sony has sold 42 systems. You figures are way off buddy. Sheesh!
(* after buying Takeshi's special gold membership for life being $666 (plus VAT)
<_<
>_>
In b4 Nanbu comes in here and says "oh another one of these blogs"
Also there is a recession out there!! So the real calculation should be:
$150 for Arcade 360
$5 for hdmi cable
$2,50 for a torx-10 set of screwdrivers
$5 for a VT6421 PCI sata card
$50 for about 30 verbatim dvd+r dual layers
$7,50 for an ethernet cable since wifi is gay as hell and it looks lame to boot
$5 worth of screws to repair your RROD
That's $225 for 30 games and a 360 a year. Might as well add the $28 you pay on ebay classifieds for Live gold. $255 to round it off.
Now let's look at the worst case scenario:
$400 80GB PS3 with 2 games
$60 a game for about 5 games a year = $300
$20 to have your bluray diode replaced?
$5 for hdmi cable
$7,50 for ethernet
$15 for a cheap bluetooth headset (no idea what those cost)
Total: %747,50! Drop 50-100 for good PS3 deals and/or pricecut, and it's still about 3x as expensive as a 360 with 30 games. Add +150 for a 2nd 360 in case you get banned for some reason, which is unlikely: then the comparison would be $645 vs $405 or so. You would have 240 left for blowjobs!!!
Now, that's how you deal with a recession. Stop bitching y'all ;)
"Hey Takeshi, you'd better not talk about those naked Jimbo photo's man. People might think you're some kind of white bearded old man loving weirdo."
Fuck.
If Sony just preloaded a few gigs of porn onto every PS3, those bastards would fly off the shelves!!
LMAO!
Somebody has been reading my sidebar.
I'm out.
I feel the very same way sir. But i'm glad I did read this.
People like you are killing the perfect community that I single-handedly crafted.
HAHAHA!
:D
AMAZING
Nope.. I'm just a random D-Toider with a cynical disposition, and a psychological need to talk condescendingly to everyone I encounter on the internet.
Why!? Do I remind you of someone?
For a second I thought Hamza actually changed Nanbu's name, but this is still good.
Uhhh yeah, PS3, I have one, it's great.
...ass.
XD
Hamza rlz!!
Besides, i don't give a crap about the PS3 price, it cost like US$1200 here in Brazil, so a 60 dollah cut wouldn't be very helpful.
Sort-of sorry to have offended you.
