For Wiisucks:
Hi! My name is Jack Klassen.! I'm a completely ordinary teenage boy from San Diego, California. My interests include soccer, surfing, writing poetry, and luge. I am homeschooled by my father who fought in the Korean War and was exposed to nerve gas. He is kind of crazy but I still love him. We got the Internet two years ago and I started making new friends on Yahoo! messenger. Surprisingly, most of these new friends were older men who wanted to have illegal, underage sex with me. Needless to say, I got a boner like a rocketship and cybersex quickly became my favorite thing in the entire world. Wait, did I say boner like a rocketship? I meant my vagina got as wet as Lake Titicaca. I started saving all of the hot chat sessions I was having with the Pakistanis, lesbians, child molesters and other monsters who were instant messaging me all day and all night, and I decided to put them up here on this website so you can see exactly how disgusting the entire human race is. Since then, I have been in a waterskiing accident that mangled my genitals beyond repair, been diagnosed with cerebral palsy, brain cancer, and Crohn's disease, learned to speak Urdu and French, covered my naked body in superglue, went to French lesbian camp, made a Hindu eat a roast beef sandwich out of my vagina, and ruined perfectly good cybersex for at least one hundred people. Use the menu above to find out more about me and start reading my sexy adventures,

Now, you get obtuse commercials. "Look a bird flew out of my PS3! Baby doll heads blink on their own! That's kick ass!"
Or poor kids having watergun fights in the streets of a busy city. ? Fanboyism still runs strong though. Mostly in part of biased and unchecked rumormongering that goes on in blogs such as these and NEOGAF, 4chan, and GameFAQ's.
MOST kids can only afford one console and will blindly defend it to the death. To date, I've only ever encountered 2 moronically misguided fanboys aged over 18, and one of 'em is 3 posts above my own...
PlayStation = Platformers
The question is really not if you can afford a console and their games, but why can you not just own one and not hate the other consoles.
Blehman, I think it's because once most people commit to that one system, they have to constantly tell themselves that they made the right decision, or else they've wasted their money. And if someone else says something that goes against what they're telling themselves, they have to not only defend their system but prove the other person wrong in order to keep on convincing themselves.
But that's just what I think.
My first consoles were SNES and GB (then later N64,GBA) and I still love Nintendo games. My break from that mold, was when I played on a friends PC at a LAN party, a decided to buy one. Console wise, I decided to buy a PS1, because I had Chrono Trigger on SNES and Square were moving into PS1 games.
When we get older, you want to open up and experience more and that's where I am now.
It's dumbness.
I personally like what Nintendo is doing right now, so I'm hoping they dominate for a little while, to send the message to the other guys to do things more that way. But back in the N64 days, I prayed Nintendo would fail because I did not want cartridge based 3D platformers to be the dominant force in gaming. Thank god it did fail, or at least, not dominate.
I think it makes sense to have a strong opinion and a preference of where gaming is headed, but mindless brand loyalty is jam packed with fail.
I guess that it has something to do with the fact that things cost us money, consoles are expensive an since that little fact you want everyone to know the reasons behind your purchase and why that makes you more intelligent than the others.
For example i just cant get xbox360 fanatism, since the hardware and the console is a piece of unreliable crap (i know it has great games on it, but still).
Unfortunately, some people still bought PS3s.
1. 1 system cannot be every other system
2. There is value in each system
3. Gaming is more than any one factor (graphics/control/etc)
4. Opinion is not fact
5. Enjoyment is not unilateral
Also, i'm going with Freud here:
They also have a deep-seeded insecurities stemming from fear that they made the wrong choice which will take years of therapy to overcome.
