So got home from work last night and, after grabbing some food, flopped down on the couch to see what the Home Box Office(HBO) had to offer. Something piqued my interest called Guyver 2 Dark Hero, not because I thought it would be a great film, it wasn't, but because I really like watching BAD MOVIES.

I apparently missed the opening of this film but that didn't seem to matter as I found the cast in some kind of archaeological dig site, which was obviously just a poorly designed set piece. With my sub-par movie sense tingling I dug in myself to see just how bad this movie could get and, well, I wasn't disappointed.

Not only did the characters find their way into an enormous spacecraft, which they unearthed in a matter of minutes, it quickly becomes clear that they are dealing with an alien race called the Zoanoids. After finding out the lead character can transform into a hyperfighter called the Guyver the movie turns into an extended episode of Mighty Morphin' Power Rangers but with more gore.

Well what in the hell does this have to do with Solid Snake? Funny you should ask. Guyver 2 Dark Hero made such an impression on me I actually did an IMDB search this morning. What did I find? The lead actor in the movie, David Hayter, happens to be THE VOICE OF SOLID SNAKE, as well as writing the screenplay for X-Men!

Well I was a bit surprised since I kinda figured being in a craptastic sci-fi by
the creators of the Power Rangers could only do harm to your career. Looks like I was wrong.
