And I really enjoyed it. I was really worried because of how much it had been hyped up to me from the dtoid community, but it was pretty much everything they said it would be. I played through it saving the little sisters, somehow i just couldn't bring myself to kill them, they were just to cute when i heard them talking down the hall about how it was sleepy time and such. As to the talk of making a prequel, I agree that it would be a horrible idea, in that the great part of the game was discovering the past throughout the game. going back and just seeing it all seems so pointless because i already know roughly what it was like, and what I don't know I have a pretty good idea of. Why do people need to have every single detail of a story filled out for them? Alas, I can see 2K wanting to make more money off the game, and a sequel would be alright i guess, if they didn't whore it out, but i'd just like to see more original games with great writing like bioshock. Also, the weapon/ammo and plasmid system...awesome, could make for sweet multiplayer if twisted around a little

For me its more about the journey then the destination and this is especially true in Bioshock's case. Playing through the game was an amazing experience in regards to story, atmosphere and game play. Besides, The game "Jumped the Shark" when you killed Andrew Ryan. Theres no ending in the world that could have topped that scene.
As for BioShock, it put me to sleep honestly.
But I appreciate it's beautiful art design and amazing premise, which I'll never get to experience cause I find it boring. It did good things for the "video games are art" arguement, so it has my respect.
Of course, us gamers should shun everyone, who cares if old people consider games art? Fuck them.
Well if they're reading a blog post about a game that came out over half a year ago that they haven't beaten, they deserve to get the game spoiled, lol.
As far as the games as art argument goes, I think our very own Jim Sterling puts it best:
"Videogames are art because art is subjective and I have decided that videogames are art. This cannot be debated, as one cannot debate the validity of something made valid only by one's individual perception."
I feel like I'm 50. Imagine how I'll feel at 40.
