I know I know, it's been out forever, but I just completed Half-Life 2: Episode 2. And It's as amazing as everyone says it is. The part near the end, where you have to fight the striders, was one of the funnest, craziest sequences in a game, and the story throughout was beyond measure. I can't wait for episode 3, and hopefully more G-Man
And I really enjoyed it. I was really worried because of how much it had been hyped up to me from the dtoid community, but it was pretty much everything they said it would be. I played through it saving the little sisters, somehow i just couldn't bring myself to kill them, they were just to cute when i heard them talking down the hall about how it was sleepy time and such. As to the talk of making a prequel, I agree that it would be a horrible idea, in that the great part of the game was discovering the past throughout the game. going back and just seeing it all seems so pointless because i already know roughly what it was like, and what I don't know I have a pretty good idea of. Why do people need to have every single detail of a story filled out for them? Alas, I can see 2K wanting to make more money off the game, and a sequel would be alright i guess, if they didn't whore it out, but i'd just like to see more original games with great writing like bioshock. Also, the weapon/ammo and plasmid system...awesome, could make for sweet multiplayer if twisted around a little
Just a real quick one, I found a pretty sweet, short live-action video in the halo universe, its on a discovery channel site for upcoming show lastonestanding.
Really people...really? I was recently browsing Digg.com as I often do, when I came across a small article describing the expectedness of people ditching class and work to play halo for hours on end. Pause...I like Halo, I like the story, the game is fun, I'm not a hater, it's just not the best game evar...unpuase. There are better fucking games to take all day off and play. Halo isn't this super immersive game that keeps you so involved that you won't acknowledge your loved ones for, it's your standard, run of the mill shoot' em up FPS. It's not even that intense, you should just sit back and enjoy killing the little space jihaders after you get home from work/school, besides, you're gonna need all that money from work if you're stupid enough to buy the plethora of Halo 3 branded merchendise...but thats another story.
I've been playing games since I was a wee lad, punching in the numbers on my very first system, the ColecoVision, and I enjoy a wide variety of Genres, be it farming for corn on SNES, straping on the Varia Suit, or settin off claymores.
