Well, last night we conducted out first experiment of the
Wednesday Night WarCawks. I set up a server right around 7 pm EDT and we got going pretty shortly thereafter. There for a while it was
GoldenDonut,
Spider_Pig,
MagesX, and myself in a free for all with a few extra stragglers coming in from the general population to make it 8. By accident the first game was a straight up free-for-all deathmatch, and ended up being a lot of damn fun. Spider_Pig threw out some trash talk and made it even more interesting.
After that match the game shifted to Team Deathmatch. Sadly this was a mistake as the game would only let me host 8 people at a time, and 1/2 of the people from the first game left. This made it a 2 v 2 Team Deathmatch with a huge freaking map. Hard to find someone to shoot, and not so fun. After talking with Spider_Pig and MagesX (sorry I missed you GoldenDonut), we decided to join a ranked server and play a game with more participants. This is when
-D- and
Hoygeit joined in, and someone else too, but I can't quite remember who. This was a good match with lots of assplosions and chaos. It was excellent much like the first match was.
I think it was a success. What do you other guys think?
And if you didn't participate this week. Consider playing next week or this
Friday (FNF). I think we'll just try and hijack a ranked server next week since if a lot of you participate we'd probably fill up the 8 slots I'm only allowed to have when I host a game.

Fame Throwas are very effective, but you have to be close. Rockets from afar.

I just remembered, I sniped a dude that was popped out the top of a tank! That was AWESOME!

The standard server is 8 ppl. (mine too), you have to find someone with a fast connection in order to host more. Maybe we'll find a dtoid lurker that has a t3 behind his house *rawr*!
And don't worry, WarCawks ARE hard to fly, but once you see that you can use them to jet across the map in 3-4 seconds, you'll use them anyways and do your best to avoid missiles.
Also, fyi for tanks, it takes 2 locked missiles, 2 landmines (or combo thereof) or one missile turret direct hit to blow up teh tank.
It takes 1 flamethrower approximately 60-70% of a single pickup to destroy a tank, but you goes through that shiznits REAL quick. I LOVE this game, and can't recommend it enough to anyone that has a PS3. I've never had more fun online, in any game, ever.

Sorry I got on late and wasn't able to stay on for very long.
The time I was on was a blast though!
We need to figure out a way to get all of us on the same team.
Considering the Warhawk team is 6 people strong, I'd say never.
My most hilarious moment by far was when someone was shooting at me with a tank but I managed to get in close and jump in. Then I popped the top and just started shooting it (doing hardly any damage, but having a good laugh) and a few people that were running around.

Here is how I see it..
1. Get your buddy list in order. If your new!!!! put your name up we'll add it.
1a. contact bhive01 about adding you to the [TOID] clan.
2. Lets meet up in a private room at whatever time we decide, Play every man for themselves for a while.
3. Then when we get bored, find a level 4 ranked server, those usually have enough room for 10 or so of us, sure we are going to get owned for a while but at least we can kill each other and get credit for it.
