I've been gaming since before I got my NES on Apple II's and an old IBM 8088. Never had an Atari or Odyssey. I got an NES for Christmas in the 80s and have been a gaming nut ever since. I love Nintendo's IPs and because of this I've bought every systemm to date (including VB). In addition to every Nintendo system (-Wii), I've also own a Dreamcast, XBOX, 360, and PS3.

Holiday PS3, $399?

Ars Technica is reporting a rumor that a 40 GB PS3 is "likely" in the works for this coming holiday season. With the release of Heavenly Sword, WarCawks, and (soon) Rachet & Clank, the exclusive titles that make owning a PS3 worthwhile are trickling in.

I've already dove in and got me a PS3. Would a $399 40 GB PS3 make you take the plunge? If not why not?

Stop by my place? I won't be home until the evening, but if he wants to then that's fine with me.

Haze and Unreal Tournament III are also sealing my deal.

Well I still won't be picking one up but that sure would be a step in the right direction (already have a 360 and need money for an HDTV). Not to mention I still hate the PS3 (any PS) controller. I doubt that 40gb would have WiFi though, if it did damn that is a nice deal now all they need is some good games and a back catalog of good cheap games (ps2 games do not count).

My bet is the 80GB will drop to $500 and that will be it.

jk. I have a good PC, a Wii and a DS - the 360 and PS3 exclusives just aren't doin' it for me, I guess. And I can't afford 'em, most importantly.

Soon Sony will have more skus than a supermarket. So confusing for the customers its ridiculous.

Got a 360, not enough stuff on PS3 to convince me and the price is still a bitch.
